I’m obsessed with the matte finish of raw porcelain and the incredibly smooth polished stone texture.
My earthy color pallet is achieved by a refined, time intensive process of mixing porcelain with custom blends of mason stains.
My unique geometric forms draw inspiration in part from modern/Japanese architecture, Chess pieces and ergonomics. I utilize many custom miniature tools to shape the precise decorative elements.
Creating ceremonial urns has been a calling for many years. Through deep processing of my own mortality and the integration of my mother’s death, I’m ready to honor the sacredness of the art form.
My passion for ergonomics led me to the creation of functional sculptures. They serve as both, a beautiful adornment of any space as well as a functional stress release device. I jokingly refer to them as grown up fidget toys and make a wonderful addition to any desk, book shelf or coffee table.
